The years after the 1939-1945 war were eventful for the Forest of Dean, with coal mining on the decline and an urgent need to attract new industry and develop existing industries.
This story (see Blue book) tells of the impact made by BAF, Rank Xerox on the small Cinderford firm of W F Giles & Sons.
